In 2010, the Institute of Asian Research at UBC launched Asia Pacific Memo, which features scholarly research about contemporary Asia. Memos are articles or video interviews which examine political and social issues in Asia. Most recently, the Institute published Memo 58, Pre-Election Singapore Clamps Down on Social Media.
